Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

I want to work with the LGBTQ+ community because, as a proud LGBTQ+ individual myself, I understand the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for people to celebrate their love. At Destination Rainbow, my mission is to ensure that every couple feels seen, celebrated, and supported, especially when planning significant life events like honeymoons and destination weddings.

Allyship

As the founder of Destination Rainbow, I actively work to support and uplift the LGBTQ+ community through my business and personal actions. Professionally, I’ve implemented policies to ensure that every supplier I work with shares the same commitment to inclusivity and celebrates diversity. I’ve developed a certification programme, 'Destination Rainbow Approved,' to identify and promote LGBTQ+ family-friendly destinations and accommodations, fostering a safer travel environment for all. I work exclusively with suppliers who demonstrate genuine allyship, ensuring that every experience I create is welcoming and inclusive.

At Destination Rainbow, inclusivity is at the heart of everything I do. I actively ensure that my business represents and celebrates the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community through every aspect of my work. For instance, my website and social media platforms feature LGBTQ+ couples and families. I actively seek feedback from LGBTQ+ clients and allies to improve my services and representation. I also use my platform as a speaker on diversity in travel to advocate for change within the industry, highlighting the need for more inclusive marketing and operations. Representation isn’t a one-time effort—it’s a continuous journey, and I’m fully committed to evolving alongside the community I proudly serve. My allyship is an ongoing commitment.

In my everyday life, I’m committed to using inclusive language, respecting and affirming pronouns, and speaking up against discrimination. I participate in Pride events (I run LGBTQ+ families London and we march every year), donate to LGBTQ+ charities, and consistently advocate for a world where everyone can live authentically and celebrate their love without fear or compromise.
