Why wouldn’t we want to? Olive Can Fly is a family run, inclusive small business that celebrates love in all of its many wonderful forms.

Allyship

I taught photography at college and degree level for over a decade before changing direction and opening Olive Can Fly. In that role I’ve helped to support LGBTQ+ focused events, attended demonstrations & parades, attended inclusivity training, raised awareness of the Pulse nightclub tragedy via a photographic project, respected and raised awareness of use of pronouns, hung pride flags in our student rooms and ensured that my curriculum included photographic artists from the LGBTQ+ community.

I don’t teach anymore but I still hold the same values and opinions and continue to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

Currently I’m working closely with a young black LGBTQ+ artist on a collaboration for an upcoming exhibition and I regularly Co-host markets at Lovelocks in Liverpool. My studio is a safe space and will always remain that way.
