What do you offer?
Want your day immortalised in acrylic paint forever? Want a beautiful display piece of your wedding for your house? I'm your girl 💁♀️
Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?
I'm a bi girly with ADHD - seeing myself and my loved ones reflected in the wedding industry is super important to me as I wouldn't book a supplier for my own wedding if I don't see any of us represented at all!! Authentic supplies can make such a difference to your day and it matters to me that my loved ones are in a safe space too. Weddings are so special and such a personal part of our lives and I'm working to make sure my business is as inclusive as possible and that everyone is included in my paintings - love is love, no matter what form it takes and I want to help celebrate it all!!
Allyship
Business wise I've made sure that there's an option on the booking form for pronouns, names & if I'm okay to share these on social media. I don't use gendered language - think "partner" "wedding party" "couple" as I feel weddings can be very hetronormative and don't want people to feel put off trying to book in!
In my personal life, I am always educating myself on the LGBTQ+ community & I am a loud and proud feminist. I do a lot of work in finding bands that either have women, POC or non binary/trans people as they are horribly underrepresented in the alt/metal world.
I have regularly donated to stonewall, mermaids & mind and since last october I've been donating towards charity collections for Palestine and raising awareness for it in my daily life.
I ran a pub and had posters everywhere for men's talking groups, trans hotlines, drag event posters were up regularly etc it was super important to me that all elements of community was represented and as a result the pub ended up fostering a large queer community. I don't assume anyone's gender, pronouns or sexuality & if I make a mistake that I apologise, learn from it and do better next time!!
don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
