What do you offer?

For the rebels, the rogues and people who don't love to pose. Relaxed, fun and unobtrusive photos that tell the real story of your day- no awkward posing required.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

Documenting love is the best job in the world. ALL love. If you are two human beings who are in love-... if you're laid back, and fun, and open minded... if you're the kind of people who don't love posing but do want awesome photos to remember your day by? I want to work with you.

Allyship

I have really made an effort to surround myself with LGBTQ+ voices, whether that be what I've been reading/listening too/watching, attending protests, or having long heart to heart chats with my couples during/after their weddings and photo sessions.

I have a lot of personal relationships with people in the LGBTQ+ community as well, and hearing their stories and experiences of feeling marginalised has really made me stop and look at how I can do better- in my business and in my day to day life.

I share my pronouns everywhere: meetings, networking events, online marketing and correspondence and I am very mindful of this when I am out working and out in the world in my free time. I am also implementing this into my children's lives- in the books we purchase and read together, the films we watch, in the way we identify ourselves and correct improper use of pronouns where needed.

I like to support queer friendly businesses wherever possible, we have this great indie queer bookshop in the southside of Glasgow for example that I would always choose first.

Specifically within my business I share my pronouns right from the start of any of my interactions with potential couples so they know right from the start that I respect them and the way they identify. I clearly state that all love is welcome in my marketing. I also use inclusive language alongisde terms like bride/groom, as a lot of my couples identify as trans or they/them and I want them to feel included too. I feature LGBTQ+ weddings regularly on my online platforms- namely my blog and my instagram account- as well as my wedding newsletter and website. I think it's important that every couple see themselves represented in my work, as there are so many blogs/directories out there that only show cis white hetero able-bodied couples with a certain body type.

don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
