What do you offer?

Studio Dandelion focuses on luxury and artistic style wedding and event florals, with its main emphasis to use only locally sourced UK grown flowers and reusable and recyclable mechanics. We try and work with as many female owned farms and female farmers as possible. Our USP is that we are working to be as truly sustainable as possible, and creating a safe space in a market where luxury flowers negatively impact the world.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

Genuinely, the more inclusive and safe spaces within an industry that is made around LOVE the better. I want my friends, family and the community I love in to feel they are accepted into the societal norm of getting married, throwing events and not having any weirdness of judgement because of the sexual orientation or their gender identity.

I genuinely love making flowers, truly seasonal flowers that have a beautifully, eco conscious understanding but don't impact of the style, design and luxury factor. I hope that everyone can enjoy them, and there should be no restrictions for someone, people to have the best day of their lives and celebrate themselves. Plus, I just dig weddings. I just do love a celebration of love and it's so lame that not everyone in this industry is inclusive.

Allyship

I am an ally, and I hope I feel like an active ally to my gorgeous group of friends who I am lucky enough to be a part of, and with most of them being LGBTQ+ . I love being part of a community which is so accepting. I ask for pronouns actively, as well as make sure I use inclusive vocabulary to make sure no one feels excluded. There's always ways to be better, and I know that I can always be doing more. I follow lots of wonderful charities and movements on instagram that promote acceptance, trans right, queer communities.

I am reworking my wedding information sheet to make sure I don't assume people are in couples, I don't use heterocentric terminology and I don't assume pronouns.
