What do you offer?

The Barn at Sprotts is a unique, dry hire, weekend wedding venue. A stunning 18c barn surrounded by 10 acres of meadow and gardens . It is a secluded rural idyll, a blank canvas to create a celebration that reflects you as couple.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

The Barn at Sprotts is a brand new wedding venue. We want to lay the foundations of a safe space that is open to all couples to celebrate their love for each other; to allow them to create a celebration that reflects them as a couple without being tied to the outdated assumptions and stereo types.

Allyship

We understand the importance of using correct pronouns, are mindful to use terms such as "couple" and take guidance from our clients on the language works best for them. I am cis het. but have close family who are part of the LGBTQ+ community; speaking up, being mindful of my own assumptions and developing a culture of learning and respect is a central pilar of our business.

As we develop our social media presents we will ensure that the images we use will reflect all types of couples. We steer away from gender specific language both on our public platforms and in our private spaces, such as when working with suppliers and the language we use in the day to day running of our business. I want to create a culture of inclusivity from the very roots of business.
