Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

Being a Queer owned wedding supplier who recently planned her own wedding, I know the struggles that the LGBTQ+ community have had to put up with when planning their special day. At 4YaParty, inclusion isn't something we do, it's at the core of our business and the foundation on which 4YaParty was built. A safe space from the beginning.

Allyship

Mercedes and 4YaParty are an ally to the LGBTQ community and we have shown this by completing the LGBTQ awareness course by The Wedding Business School, being members of the Gay Wedding directory, being active members of Out Britain, a union for LGBTQ business owners. We also are members of the Friends of Joiners Arms, the first ever LGBTQ run accessible pub in London supporting #LongLiveQueerSpaces.

In the wedding industry we always ensure our content is inclusive whether it's writing a post on social media or pitching for a styled shoot. We use our platform to create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, so much so that we were recently asked if we only catered to LGBTQ couples! We cater to everyone, but it's nice to know that what we put out to the world is fully inclusive!
